HE WILL CLEAN OUR HEARTS

Psalm 51:10

"Create in me a pure heart O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me." (NIV)

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew
a right spirit within me." (KJV)

The Lord never asks us to fix those things in our
hearts that are impure in His sight. He asks us to
examine ourselves to see if there is impurity there.
If there is, He asks us to let His light shine on it so
that He can make it right. Allowing God to shine His
light on our impure thoughts, feelings, and actions
is a difficult thing. Our human nature tells us to hide
from the Light. The more often we examine ourselves
and ask God to purify our hearts by letting His light
shine on us, the less often we will find impurity there.

Heavenly Father, help us to frequently examine our
hearts so that we can bring those things that are
displeasing to You into Your light. Then we will know
You are making our heart clean. We ask in Jesus' name,
Amen.

This is so good. Sometimes I ask God, if I give you ____ (fill in the blank) what will you give me in return? I gave him my disappointments and He gave divine appointments! Dr Bobbi, Thank you for this wonderful blog!

A clean and pure heart is a daily struggle and I don't think I could ever fully achieve it. But through Him I can strive for the perfection He desires for me.
