FINAL DAILY GRACE

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." ESV

This is the final Daily Grace that will be sent your way. All praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for placing this seven year journey on my heart and for the desire to keep sharing His Word with those who touched the pages of this daily devotion. There is a season for everything. The Lord is leading me to other pastures of service that will feed me spiritually and by His grace, touch the hearts of others to accept His grace and grow in Him along with me. Thanks to all my faithful readers and keep feeding on His Word every day. This will cause your faith to grow and you will be fruitful for His kingdom.

"May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and give you peace."

#LOVE?FEED

John 21:16

"He said to him a second time, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' He said to him, 'Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.' He said to him, "Feed my sheep.'" ESV

Do we really love our Lord? Really love Him? If we do, we will be feeding His sheep. Who are His sheep and how do we feed them? His sheep are any who have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. We feed them and ourselves by walking in His footsteps, at all times being in communion with Him, sharing the Gospel, and spreading the Word wherever we are, whenever we can. Do we really love Him?

Lord, You know that we love You. We commit our lives to You in putting feet to our faith. We will work while it is day. We will love You with all our hearts. We will love all Your sheep and feed them as You pour into us so abundantly. In Your perfect, loving name, Amen.

WISDOM DEFICIT

James 1:5

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." ESV

How do we know if we lack wisdom? If there is anything that we cannot explain or provide a clear answer, we lack wisdom. Also, when we get understanding, there is always an awareness that there is so much more we need to learn. We can be aware of our need for Godly wisdom and go directly to the throne of grace and God will give us all we need.

Lord, how short we fall of Your wisdom and knowledge. Help us to be aware of our own lack and always keep asking for the wisdom that only comes from You. Show us how to use wisdom to discern and expose evil around us, and to show others the way to Your Truth. In Your omniscient name we pray, Amen.

CREEPERS

Jude 4

"For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." ESV

Why would we think that the ungodly people spoken of in the Bible, that crept in unnoticed, have all been defeated and have gone away. Hardly! They continue to creep into every facet of daily life in this world. Their goal is to twist and bend the Truth enough that as we complacently stroll through our lives, we will drift into their traps, believing their deception. No wonder the Word of God stresses and repeats over and over to be alert! Watch!

Lord, forgive us for the complacency that we let into our minds. Open our eyes to the reality of the evil that creeps into every part of our lives. Help us to stay alert and be discerning in everything we do. We ask in Your eternal name, Amen.

DON'T GO TO THE MASQUERADE PARTY

James 1:16

"Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers." ESV
The Word tells us that God does not tempt any of us. Temptation comes from the evil one and our own natural desires. We have a natural tendency to give in to the deception of temptation by reasoning out that it is not that big of a deal. In doing this, we start falling away from the narrow path that leads to life. Spiritual death results in following deception that presents itself as right and good.

Lord, how aware we are that none of us are above being deceived. We know that if we stay close to You and Your Word, walking in Your Holy Spirit we will not fall into deception. Help us to keep alert and recognize that deception is all around us so that we will not be trapped by it. Only by Your grace and our trust in You will we be able to escape the deception in this world. In Your gracious name we pray, Amen.

THE ULTIMATE RECIPE

2 Peter 1:5-8

"For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brother affection with love. For if these qualities are your and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." ESV

We wonder sometimes why our spiritual lives are dull and non-productive. Somewhere along the line we have tapered off those qualities of Christ that are critical to our spiritual growth. A regular check up of our spiritual faith asking the Lord to search our hearts will keep us from getting off track. And, we will find all these things active and increasing in our lives.

Lord, search our hearts and reveal to us if we have drifted away from these things that will insure our spiritual growth. Our desire is to be more like You. In Your omnipotent name we pray, Amen.

TRUE OR FALSE

1 John 3:18

"Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." ESV

Loving words can sound pretty convincing but be as hollow as dead trees. Love is made real in our actions and our motives for those actions. It is the genuine sincerity of the heart in an act of love that confirms we truly have Godly love.

Lord, just as You proved Your great love to us by Your genuine willingness to give Your life for our sins, we as for Your grace to do acts of love with genuine love and giving of ourselves. In Your loving name, Amen.

BUILDERS

Jude 1:20

"But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit." ESV

So, we are to build up our faith in the Lord! This must mean we just can't sit and carry on life as usual and expect the Lord to drop great portions of faith into us. The Lord has already given us a measure of faith. It is up to us to build it up so that it will make us strong. How do we build up our own faith? By the Word of God: hearing it, studying it, meditating on it, and living it.

Lord, thank You so much for the gift of faith You give to each of us. We ask for Your grace to help us build up our faith. Increase our desire for Your Word, so that we will be useful for Your kingdom. In Your generous name we pray, Amen.

THE ULTIMATE COMMUNICATION DEVICE

Colossians 4:2

"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." ESV

If we stay in direct contact with God, watching with open eyes for the evil traps set just for us, we will be ready for anything that would distract us from our goal of becoming like Christ. And on this journey of ours, we can show thankfulness for the grace and mercy our Lord shows us every step of the way.

Lord, it is so hard to live in this world and not be drawn away down paths that lead nowhere. Give us a burning desire for the wonderful communication resource we have every moment, prayer. We desire to be vigilant and grateful when the storms of life come so that we will show the world Your glory. In Your magnificent name, Amen.

DON'T GET TIRED

2 Thessalonians 3:13

"As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good." ESV

Making the Godly choice is a direct indication of the health of our faith. If we do right regardless of the consequences our faith is strong. If we choose to give in to our own wants or needs, our faith is either weak or dead. If we keep on making the choices we know are pleasing to God, the right choices, we will be saved. Do we need a faith check-up?

Lord, forgive us for making our choices based on our own desires. Help us to be alert and strong in faith to do what is right, no matter what. In Your faithful name we pray, Amen.

LISTEN TO WHO?

Psalm 23:1

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." ESV

It is the shepherd's responsibility to lead and protect his sheep. He makes it his priority to take the sheep to their destination unharmed and safe from the treacherous dangers that are scattered along the whole journey. Jesus is our Shepherd. Why would we ever trust in any earthly person to lead and guide us?

Lord, sometimes we lose sight of You and we tend to place our trust in the teachings and popularity of a human being. Draw us to Your pure Word and teachings so that we will arrive at our destination, eternal life, safely. In Your loving name we pray, Amen.

GOD WHERE ARE YOU?

Isaiah 57:11

"Whom did you dread and fear, so that you lied, and did not remember me, and not lay it to heart? Have I not held my peace, even for a long time, and you do not fear me? ESV

We all experience desert times when we feel God has forgotten us. These are times of serious tests of faith for even the mature Christians. It is also at these times that our faith can become weak and we begin to put our trust in the things of this world rather than our Lord. It is so easy to keep our faith strong when things are going good. It is so difficult to walk along day after day with no sign from Him, but to keep our faith strong.

Lord, we are just like sheep. Our faith is shallow and the size of our faith most often equals the circumstances that surround us. Help us to fan the flames of our faith so that we will stand strong no matter what happens. In Your precious name we pray, Amen.

LOVE ME LOVE YOU

Mark 12:31

"The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." ESV

How much do we love ourselves? Do we love ourselves enough to make sure we have a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes to wear, clean water, warmth, comforts, and basic necessities? Of course we have that much love for ourselves. That's how much we are to love others.

NUMERO UNO

Mark 12:30

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength." ESV

This is the most important commandment of all. If we truly love our Lord in this way, what will it look like on the outside to other people?

Lord, forgive us for falling so short of Your greatest commandment. Help us to stir the faith within ourselves to seek You, to love You, and to reflect You with everything we are. In Your glorious name we pray, Amen.

HOW CONFIDENT ARE YOU?

Hebrews 4:16

"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." ESV

Without confidence: God, why are you not doing something? How can You let this continue? This is more than I can bear. Why me, Lord? Don't You hear me? How long will You let me suffer?

With confidence: Lord, You have laid out Your plan. No matter what comes my way, I know You are in control. Lord, You will take care of all my needs. I will wait for You with a joyful heart because You count me worthy to be Your child. All things will work out for good, according to Your will.

Lord, forgive us for our lack of confidence in Your eternal promises. Help us to always come into Your presence with confidence that You are all knowing, all powerful, and always present. In Your eternal name we pray, Amen.

IT IS A GOOD THING TO BE WEAK

2 Corinthians 12:9

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." ESV

Do we not yet understand that it is only through trials and desert seasons that the Lord pours out His power on us because we are too weak to take any credit for anything. So we can rejoice when we have no strength of our own, because, He will then demonstrate His power through us.

Lord, forgive us for complaining when we are weakened by troubles in this world. Forgive us for taking credit for things that only You could have done. Help us to remember that when we are at our weakest, You are the most powerful. In Your omnipotent name we pray, Amen.

WE DON'T HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE LAW

Galatians 3:25

"But know that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian." ESV

The death and resurrection of Christ tore down the curtain that kept us separated from the throne of God. All we had to guide us was the Law. The Law was a kind of map to show us how to stay on the narrow road to God. Because of Christ, we no longer have to rely on the Law. By faith in Christ, we live under the law of love. There are no limits or boundaries with love. We are free to live in love with our Savior and with each other.

Lord, there is no way we can ever repay You for Your precious gift of love. We can give You our hearts so that we can live in Your marvelous love and share this love with others. In Your loving name we pray, Amen.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

Colossians 3:14

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." ESV

The only spiritual clothing we need to wear is love. It keeps us in obedience to the greatest of God's commands: To love Him with our whole being and to love each other. When we love, we look like God, because He is love. Love unites us together in harmony with Christ and with each other.

Lord, how we need to put on the love of Christ in this world that does not know love. We exist for eternity because You are love. Give us zeal for showing Your love to a lost and dying world. In Your loving name we pray, Amen.

STAY TUNED

Isaiah 26:3

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." ESV

Keeping our minds on God does not come naturally. Our minds tend to stay connected to he things we value the most. When we make a committed and conscious effort to be "God minded," we will experience his peace because all the other things of this life will work out as He has planned.

Lord, forgive us for giving in to thoughts belonging to this world and not Your kingdom. Help us to stay tuned in to You and Your Word. We know, then, that we will have peace, but more important, You are so worthy of first place in our minds.

WHAT IS THAT FOLLOWING ME?

Psalm 23:6

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." ESV

To follow means to come after, move along behind, linger. The Word says goodness and mercy will come along after us, come along behind, or linger a while as we move onward. What an honor that the Lord would allow his fragrance to be left in our footsteps still blessing those whose presence we have already left.

Lord, how blessed we are that Your goodness and mercy follow after us. We pray that we will always bring honor to Your name. In Your faithful name we pray, Amen.

ORIGINAL FAITH

Hebrews 3:14

"For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end." ESV

What is sharing in Christ? It is Him sharing all the glorious riches that are His as God of all. Our sincerity and commitment to Jesus Christ will be revealed when He returns for us. Will we be found with our first love for Him? Will our love and commitment for Him be faded and tarnished from sharing with the world?

Lord, help us to keep our faith burning as it did when we first believed. We desire that You will find us holding firmly to that first faith we had. In Your awesome name we pray, Amen.

WE ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE WHO?

Luke 6:27

"But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you." ESV

How can we live up to these words that go against our very human nature? Only those who are truly God's own, those who walk in His Spirit can let the hatred and evil of others bring out the best in us.

Lord, how great is our need to show Your love to our enemies. Give us hearts of pure Godly love, like the love You have for us. In Your loving name we pray, Amen.

WHAT IS MY PROBLEM?

Psalm 43:5 "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God." ESV

We all get down and sad at times, we are human. When we are in the middle of great turmoil, we can stir up our faith and praise our Lord that He will save us and keep us.

Lord, when we are having troubled times, help us to remember You and Your gracious blessing to us so that we will be lifted in spirit with praise in our hearts. In Your blessed name we pray, Amen.
