Romans 4:17b
". . . the God who gives life to the dead and calls things
that are not as though they were." (NIV)
". . . even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth
those things which be not as though they were." (KJV)
People have always been intrigued by magic and miracles.
A problem that seems to have separated those who are
more attracted to magic is the quick revelation of the
magic. We are an "instant" society where things are done
by the tap of the finger. If we, as Christians, get caught up
in this spirit of magic and instant results, we will miss the
most powerful and amazing miracles of God. Only those
who are walking in the Spirit of God can know when God
has brought life from death and brought forth something
very real from nothing.
Heavenly Father, please forgive us when we get caught
up in the spirit of the world and we miss the amazing
working of Your mighty hand. Help us to walk in the Holy
Spirit and to be aware of Your miracle working power and
to recognize when You are working. Help us to stay focused
on You and not get distracted by the world. In Jesus' name,
Amen
