SEE JESUS AND YOU'VE SEEN THE FATHER

Hebrews 1:3

"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high." ESV

In early times, God spoke to His people through the prophets, men chosen and anointed to speak His truth. Jesus Christ was far superior to the prophets because He is the perfect representative of God the Father. Our God sent His Son to represent Himself so that we might know Him and become like Him. Jesus Christ successfully and completely accomplished the Father's plan to reconcile us to Himself. We have no excuse for failing to live as Jesus did. The more we know Christ and how He lived, the more we know the Father.

Heavenly Father, how we praise You for giving us the Model of how we are to live our lives here. We thank You for Jesus Christ, who is Your exact likeness. Help us to seek Him so that we will know You. In His name we pray, Amen.

TREASURE IN FLOWERPOTS

2 Corinthians 4:6,7

"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us." NIV

"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." KJV

Do we really get the magnitude of how privileged we are that God has given us this treasure of the knowledge of His glory? He lavishly gave us this light by His mighty power and love through the Holy Spirit. Could we just meditate on that for a moment? Having been given this wonderful treasure, our lives will be evident of it and there will be something different about us the world doesn't understand. God knew we might get proud of this glorious treasure we carry, so He allows us to carry this treasure in our cursed, human bodies. This way, there's no mistaking that it is not anything we have done, but what our all powerful and loving God has done through us and for us.

Heavenly Father, we praise and magnify Your name! Let us take this wonderful treasure You have given us and use it to draw all men to You. Make it evident to every unbelieving heart, that it is You, O God, and not anything we could possibly conjure up. Be glorified in us, we ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

SHHHHH! GOD IS

Habakkuk 2:20
"The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him." NIV

"But the Lord is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before Him." KJV

Where is God's temple? His temple is where He is and He is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere and there is no place where He is not. There is no power or authority that can stand before Him and question His majesty and holiness. The whole earth sits as one who cannot speak because the greatness of God Almighty is true throughout eternity. Isn't it critical that we take time to acknowledge our God, His presence, and His glory? If our time doesn't allow us to be still before Him in worship, we need to rearrange our schedules.

Heavenly Father, we recognize You as the Supreme Creator and Authority over all. We humbly stand in Your presence and praise You with our whole being. Help us to walk worthy before You and be obedient to You. In the name of Jesus' we pray, Amen.

WE ALL FALL SHORT

Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."NIV

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."KJV

It's a pretty common thing for us to look at the lives of others and tag our opinion on how far from God they are. It is always easy to see where others are going wrong. We react with self righteous disgust when someone of high standing falls into sin and it's made public. Who are we to make any kind of judgment on the sins of others? According to the Word of God, we've all been in the mud pit of sin. Yet while we remember the mud that was washed from us because of Christ, we still turn up our noses at those who still wear the mud. It is the blood of Christ only that covers our own sin.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for forgetting from where we came. Instead of judging others who sin, give us hearts of compassion and desire to show the love of Christ to them, just as other Christian's did for us. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

EXALTED GOD

Psalm 56:5

"Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth."NIV

"Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth."KJV

To be exalted is to be lifted up high in honor. Our desire as Christians is that God be so exalted that His glory is seen from every corner of the earth and on out into eternal space. We can be a part of the holy Church that exalts Him if we give our hearts and lives to Him.

Heavenly Father, You are the only One worthy of praise and exaltation. Help us to live and breathe here on earth so that others will see Your glory. We look for the day when Your power and glory will be all that is and all that will every be. In Jesus' name, Amen.

ENLIGHTENED HEARTS

Do we really understand that our hearts are still not grasping the magnitude of God's glory? Our prayer should daily be that our hearts are opened to receive the knowledge and understanding of Him and what He has prepared for us. What God has waiting for us is totally sharing in His power and glory! It surpasses what Adam and Eve knew in the garden. Perhaps it would help if we think about and
understand what was lost when sin entered the world.

Heavenly Father, we pray for open hearts to know you more and to understand more fully what you have made ready for us. In Jesus' name.

Read Ephesians 1:18

"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints." (NIV)

"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." (KJV)

GIVING ALL

It is such an amazing thing when we get hold of the fact that
the Son of God actually left His throne in Heaven and became a
human being. Even more amazing, He gave all He had, Himself,
because of His love, mercy, and grace that would show us the
Way to the One true God. When we take time to dwell on that, it
seems like such a small thing that we would turn our total selves
over to Him. But, that is all we have to give Him.

Read John 1:14

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have
seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the
Father, full of grace and truth." (NIV)

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father)
full of grace and truth." (KJV)

GLORIFYING GOD

We all came into this life with nothing. All that we experience and obtain in this life is a journey on our own unique road. If we are true Christians, we will
be glorifying God no matter what is happening on our journey.

Read Job 1:21

"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised." (NIV)

"And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name
of the LORD." (KJV)

Read Hebrews 1:3

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven." (NIV)

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." (KJV)
