RENEWED LIKE A SOARING EAGLE

Isaiah 40:31

"but those who hope in the Lord . . . . . they will soar on wings like eagles . . . " NIV

"but they that wait upon the Lord . . . . they shall mount up with wings as eagles . . ."
KJV

An eagle molts (casts or sheds in the process of renewal) when it is old and tired. One of the things an eagle does is pull out all it's feathers. When the feathers grow back and molting is complete, the eagle becomes just as it was in its' youth. Our hope in the Lord will help us grow in faith, by helping us molt away our old selves so that we are renewed with youthful energy. Then we can soar above our trials and storms.

Heavenly Father, O how we thank you for the gift of renewal. You understand our human plight and how tired we get sometimes. You have made a way for us to become refreshed and renewed, just like you did for the eagle. Help us to put our faith and hope in you so that we can run and not faint. In Jesus' name. Amen

I am learning that I must stay focused on Him---waiting patiently for Him to deliver my prayer requests. Faith is always a work in progress.
