IN THE APPOINTED TIME

We all have things we have prayed to the Lord about
and we are still waiting for the answer. We tend to
want to give up when the answer doesn't seem to be
coming when we think it should. That is human nature.
When we get our minds off our own nature and focus on
God and His great plan, we see a much different picture.
The answer we are waiting for is on the way. It will come
at just the right time in just the right way. Not our way,
but His way. We can count on it.

Heavenly Father, forgive us when we become impatient
that our prayers are not answered when and how we
think they should be. Forgive us for thinking from our own
human nature and forgetting that You are in control, that
You are God, and that You hear us when we pray. We ask
it in Jesus' name.

Read Habakkuk 2:3

"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of
end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it;
it will certainly come and will not delay." (NIV)

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it
shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because
It will surely come, it will not tarry." (KJV)

This is encouraging to me right now. I am searching for a job and a place to live soon, and praying for my son as he is seeking God's guidance after college graduation. Bless you.
