CLEAR MIND FOR THE END

Imagine for a moment how we feel when we are about to
give a talk in front of people. We rehearse what we are
going to say, going over and over our talk. Or recall the
last visit to the doctor's office while we wait for them to
call our name. We are going through the list of things we
wanted to discuss with the doctor. Imagine what we would
be doing knowing that Jesus is coming back very soon. We
make sure that we are walking on His path, carefully being
mindful of the Holy Spirit. We keep the distractions of the
world from choking out our relationship to the Lord, and
pray without ceasing. Stay alert and pray, Jesus is coming
back soon.

Heavenly Father, we earnestly ask you to help us to stay
focused and aware that the coming of Jesus Christ is near.
Help us to always be about your business that you may find
us faithful servants. In Jesus' name.

Read 1 Peter 4:7

"The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded
and self-controlled so that you can pray." (NIV)

"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober,
and watch unto prayer." (KJV)

I love that expression on the kitten-- very aware, focused perhaps a little anxious. It immediately drew me into your post. I agree with everything in your post. The prayer and scripture are excellent. We need to be ready.

Good advice. It is so easy to get distracted in today's world and get our eyes off the true goal of every Christian. Thank you for this reminder.
