The Lord's Church will be preserved and prepared for eternity with
Christ. This will not and cannot be done by any strength of any person
or group of people. Nor can it ever be done by great leaders or those
in authority and places of dignity and respect. There are some who
believe that it can be accomplished in these ways. The victory of the
Church will be accomplished only by the Spirit of the living God.
Heavenly Father, we ask for the fullness of your Spirit in our lives that
we may be a part of your great plan for your Church. We acknowledge
there is no other way for the Church to survive but by your Spirit. In
Jesus' name.
Read Zechariah 4:6
"So he said to me, 'This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not
by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty."
(NIV)
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the
LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my
spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." (KJV)

Sometimes, I think of us as sort of an immature teenage, wanting to be behind the wheel ... in control. Not rejecting our Father, but wanting to do the driving on our own. The inability and inexperience are pushed aside, but when a rough road or hazardous situations appear in front of us, we quickly hand the wheel back. Other times, the nature human instinct of "earning your way" & "earning your keep", which is true and virtueous in life between humanity, has carried over where it can not and does not belong ... in the spiritual relationship with God (3 in 1). You ae so right, that it is the Holy Spirit of God that is the power & the might ... the means and the source of all of the Lord's fruit of our good works that God has prepared for us, as His precious and cherish children, for His purposes in the adavancement of the Kingdom of Heaven in the world. Praise be to God, in the name fo our Savior & Lord Jesus Christ. Brian
