HE WILL DELIVER US

One of the major reasons many of us are weak in faith is that we do not allow our encouragement to come from God. Rather, we should do as David did. He acknowledged that God delivered him and his sheep from wild and dangerous animals. How much more will God deliver His people from evil enemies of God and men?

Heavenly Father, we pray that we would draw encouragement from you as we recall the times you have rescued and protected us in the past. In Jesus' name.

Read 1 Samuel 17:37

"The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David, 'Go, and the Lord be with you'" (NIV)

"David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee." (KJV)

I enjoyed your post, and it is so true that many Christians try to please man and not God. We need to go to our Lord and ask him for wisdon and encouragemnt. God bless, Lloyd
