The Gospel was not given in the same manner as the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai where there was great fear and trembling. The Gospel, born of a great and terrible price, is offered to us with power to be like Christ, doing the things He did. It is given freely to us to love unconditionally as He loves us. And it is given so that we can be alert, wise, and have understanding. All we have to do is acknowledge that we need this Gospel, repent of our own ways of living, and believe that Christ is truly the Son of God, our Saviour, that gave us this great and wonderful message.

and of self-discipline." (NIV)
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind." (KJV)
