For those who are serious about following after righteousness, God
tells us to recall the place He brought us from, the hopeless condition
from which we could not save ourselves. When we remember what He
did for us, we will be more attentive to our walk in righteousness.

Read Isaiah 51:1

"Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which
you were hewn." (NIV)

"Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD:
look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence
ye are digged." (KJV)
