NOT WHAT HE WILL DO BUT WHO HE IS

John 11:25

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." NIV

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." KJV

So many times we go to the Lord asking Him what He is going to do, how He is going to work out some situation. Sometimes, when it is part of His plan, He will reveal these things to us. But most of the time, we do not get a direct answer as to what He is going to do. One response we will always get when we seek God is who He is and how great is His love toward us. If we come to Him openly, not just focused on an answer, we will always come away refreshed and comforted, just knowing who He is.

Heavenly Father, help us to come to you with open hearts and minds. We are human and we want to know what You will be doing. Sometimes it is better that we don't know and we trust You to be that Judge. Help us to receive whatever You give us when we reach out to you, whether it is a direct answer or spiritual refreshment in knowing who You are. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Thanks for visiting my blog (Fear of the Lord) and your kind comment. I truly agree with what you said here that God doesn't often reveal what he is doing in our lives, but we can always walk away with that assurance of his love for us and that he is for us, not against us, and however he chooses to answer our prayers, it will always be perfect and just the right timing!

God reveals His plan for us only on a need-to-know basis, one step at a time. God asked Abram to leave his position of power, wealth, prestige and community ties to go to the Promised Land. God did not reveal where it was or how long it would take to get there, which tested and strengthened Abram's faith. Sometimes Christians grow impatient when they feel God is slow to reveal His specific plan for their life, when they have not been faithful to His general plan (staying in His Word, prayer, witnessing, keeping His commandments). Thanks for the great post and God bless you! Thanks also for commenting on my blog, Saved by Grace http://savedbygracebiblestudy.blogspot.com/
