When the sun slowly comes out from behind a dark cloud,
the light increases and soon shines brightly on everything
in sight. It enables us to see more clearly and thoroughly.
It is the same with the Word of God, which is light. As we
study and learn, the eyes of our understanding become
bright and clear, alive with understanding of our Lord.

Heavenly Father, how thankful we are that you gave us
your Word so that we might see and understand the things
of God more clearly. Help us to never take your Word
lightly. In Jesus' name.

Read Psalm 119:130

"The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding
to the simple." (NIV)

"The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding
unto the simple." (KJV)

Oh man, don't you wish that every time you opened Gods word you would understand what He meant immediatly? Learning to live in the Kingdom of God takes a while but in the end it is worth it. Even the word "Light" has meaning that goes beyond the understanding of the wisest men who ever lived, Gods meaning. Think about it, what does light mean to you and when you read God's word does He mean the same thing? A great post. Thanks and may God bless you my friend.
