There are times
when we find that we blame someone or something outside of ourselves for our
acting ungodly. That's human nature. As Christians, we have put off the old
nature and put on the nature of God. Therefore, we take responsibility for our
actions no matter what. The Bible tells us there is nothing outside of us that
makes us act un ungodly ways. The ungodliness was already residing in us waiting
for an excuse to come out.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for not taking responsibility for our own actions. Help us to
remember that we will all stand before You and give an account for all that we
have thought, said, and done that has not been covered by the blood of Jesus
Christ. May we live holy lives in Your presence, in Christ's name we pray,
Amen.
