WE ARE IN A WAR

Ephesians 6:10

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." NIV

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might." KJV

Do we consciously realize we are in the middle of an all out war? Yes, this war is not only against the trials and tribulations of this world that wreck our bodies and minds, but it is a war that is seeking any way it can to destroy our souls. Too many times we try to take matters into our own hands and find that we are deeper in trouble than before. Understanding this war we are in, we have no real strength or power within ourselves. Only the Lord, His power and might, can defeat the tactics of old Satan. If we continually place our faith in the mighty power of our Lord, He will defeat the enemy through us and for us. It is critical that we understand that we are in this war not only fighting for our own souls, but for the souls of others. We are battling in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are defending the Bride of Christ. If we don't stand strong by faith in the Lord, we will be defeated.

Heavenly Father, please help us to be constantly aware of the battle that rages all around us. Give us courage to stand strong in our faith because without You we can do nothing. Show us those around us who lack the strength and faith so that we can help them be strong too. Give us an overwhelming desire to be strong in Your power so that we will be able to defend the Church and the glory of our Lord. In His mighty name we pray, Amen.

A good reminder that we need to remember that war wages all around us. We need to stay alert and prepare with our armor. So thankful he provides it for us.
