STAND FIRM

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." NIV

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." KJV

We are told to stand firm, not be shaken nor enticed away, from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stand firm in faith as witnesses to Him, who is our Saviour. If we continue working out our Salvation and being obedient to Him, we will never be disappointed. Our efforts will never go without reward. Our God will reward us with blessings our natural minds could never imagine. We will stand firm.

Heavenly Father, there are times when our faith wavers, especially when we are around those who question Your authority as God the Creator of all things. We fail to stand firm when things are going badly for us or when we are caught up in our own wants and desires. Help us to stand firm in our faith of the Gospel message and what that means for our eternity. Give us eyes to see that when this life is over, our work here will be rewarded beyond our comprehension. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
