JESUS CAME

Jesus did not come to this earth seeking people who
saw themselves sufficiently righteous and without need
of being saved from any sin. Those are the people Jesus
condemned as having a religious spirit and He left them
to their prideful lives. Jesus came to reach those who
were sorely aware they were trapped in their sinful
lives and were in need of a way to get free. That's the
way it is today. Jesus will answer the call of one who
recognizes sin's hold and reaches out to Him in faith.

Heavenly Father, how great is Your love to us that
You seek and save those of us who are lost and have
recognized our need for Your salvation. We pray that
You will use us to reach others by our actions and
words, that they will see their need to be freed from
the bondage of sin. In Jesus' name.

Read Luke 5:32

"I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance." (NIV)

"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance." (KJV)

THis makes me feel a bit more normal in some ways. I have always said, I am a sinner who wants to live righteously as Jesus would. I fail, I learn, I correct. Thank goodness he is a loving, kind, forgiving Father.

Jesus came to save sinners like me. I reach out to God daily and thank Him for saving me and giving me so many blessings in this life. God bless, Lloyd
