It is truly difficult to stay focused in this day and age.
Yet we can purpose in our hearts to keep our focus
on the things of God and the prompting of the Holy
Spirit. If our prayers include asking the Lord what it
is He is wanting from us today, He will reveal it to
us and will help us to keep our minds set on what
He wants for us. This is what should be directing
our thoughts, not our own logic and desires.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for failing to stay focused
on what you desire for us and for following our own
desires. Help us to direct our thoughts to you and what
you want for our lives so that we will be pleasing in
your sight. In Jesus' name.

Read Romans 8:5b

".....but those who live in accordance with the Spirit
have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." (NIV)

".....but they that are after the Spirit the things of the
Spirit." (KJV)
