IMPORTANT! FORGIVENESS

Jesus brought up the issue of forgiveness more than once.
It must be very important. It is! Forgiveness is a relationship
matter. Not forgiving others is an indicator that we are not in
right relationship with God. If we are not in right relationship
with God, our prayers will be hindered. Are our prayers
getting through to God? Is there unforgiveness in our hearts?
Go to the Lord to get it settled through Him.

Read Matthew 6:14,15

"For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not
forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also Forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
(KJV)

Forgiveness is such a difficult matter for many of us. Coincidentally, my post today is about this subject ... plus another post I've already written for later on this week.

The perenial subject: forgiveness. And the only one to which Jesus added a condition when He taugh us to pray to our Father in Heaven.

God bless.

Thank you so much for this much needed thought on forgiveness. Some people go through life harboring bitter thoughts about someone because they just can't seem to forgive that person. Jesus forgave us, so we must forgive others of their wrongs us. God's blessings. Lloyd
