HOW TO STAY PURE

In our times, it is next to impossible to keep ourselves
from getting distracted and veered off in the direction
of worldly ways. Most of the time it all seems innocent
and very trivial so we don't give much thought to what
we are doing. As a result, our Christian walk is not pure,
but tainted with parts and particles of human error.
How can we keep this from happening on our own lives?
The answer lies in making sure we know the Word of
God and in walking in Its' precepts.

Heavenly Father, please forgive us for getting distracted
by this world and allowing impurity to enter our walk
with You. Give us total awareness of Your Word and the
wisdom to walk in its' wise counsel and principles at all
times. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Read Psalm 119:9

"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living
according to your word." (NIV)

"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By
taking heed thereto according to thy word." (KJV)

I get distracted, and exhausted, and will sit down late at night to watch some television, to find that I can't find to make me laugh.

You're so right... purity, and keeping the mind pure, comes from living it.

You can't walk with Jesus, and live a life full of vulgarity.
