LOVE A GOOD MYSTERY?

Colossians 2:3

"In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." ESV

The mysteries of God are so intriguing. We spend a lot of time studying and praying that these mysteries will be revealed to us. The news is, God's mysteries have already been revealed to us. They are all contained in Jesus Christ. God has placed ALL of His wisdom and knowledge in His Son. If we seek the Son, we will find Him. He will reveal His wonderful mysteries to us as we walk along with Him.

Lord, thank You for making the way for us to know the fullness of Your wisdom and knowledge. Help us to seek You with our whole hearts so that we know You and receive mysteries You reveal to us. In Your name we pray, Amen.

WANT TO KNOW A SECRET?

Psalm 25:14

"The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He makes known to them His covenant." ESV

The ways of God have always been clouded with mystery. Many have tried to unlock secrets of the Almighty through research, study, and techniques of the spirit world. The Word of God plainly tells us that God reveals secrets of His plan and mysteries of His ways to those who reverence and worship Him from a pure heart.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that You are Omniscient, knowing all things. Give us Your grace to understand that some mysteries are not for our knowing. But, we know You are faithful to reveal Your secrets to Your children who have hearts with reverence and purity to receive them. For this we give You praise. In Jesus' name, Amen.

HOW SHOULD WE LOOK TO OTHERS?

1 Corinthians 4:1

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed." NIV

"Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God." KJV

God tells in many times in His Word that we are a separate people from the world. Being different is not such a popular things these days. When a new car or some electronic device comes out, millions flock to stores and stand in line to have them. As children of God, we may or may not have all the latest posessions, but unlike the people of this world, we will be Biblically knowledgeable, speaking His truth with wisdom, and serving others in Christlike ways that without a doubt set us apart from those of this world. How do we look to the people of this world? Are we set apart, different than the rest of the world?

Heavenly Father, so many times we fail to follow Your Word and we blend right in with worldliness. Forgive us. Give us an ever increasing desire to be servants of our Lord and handle the Truth of the Word so that we will stand apart as Your children to the rest of the world. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
