GOD SEES, AND YES IT IS A BIG DEAL

 

Proverbs 5:21

 

"For a man's ways are before the eyes of the Lord, and he ponders all his paths." ESV

 

When we are about to do something we know isn't right, we do our best to hide it, disguise it, and make certain no one sees it. Let's not be fooled here. God sees every move we make, every move. He studies what we think and do and makes rightful judgment about it. If we confess and repent, God is faithful to forgive us. If we continue to do those hidden, sinful things, God will allow us to reap what we have sown.

 

Heavenly Father, You have promised us we will never allow ourselves to get into a situation where we have no choice but to sin. Forgive us for putting ourselves in situations where we choose to sin and find we are stuck in the mire. Just as Your eyes are on our ways, help us to have open eyes and willing spirit to stay on the path that leads to righteousness so that our lives will be pleasing to You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

WE ARE BEING WATCHED

2 Chronicles 16:9   "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him." ESV   Nothing escapes the eyes of God. He is intently scanning back and forth from the things that are in plain sight all the way to things tucked away in the most remote places. When His eyes catch sight of a righteous person, one with an honorable intent to please him, God will strengthen that one by His mighty power and love.   Heavenly Father, we know that everything we do is within the field of Your vision. We pray for forgiveness and mercy for those things we do that are not honorable to You. We desire to be found intent on pleasing You so that we will be strengthened in our faith walk. NOWHERE TO HIDE

 

 

Hebrews 4:13

"And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account." ESV

We have all been guilty of or know someone who has engaged in secret sins. Many believe they are all right as long as they are not hurting anybody else. Somehow the human mind finds ways to justify sin so it won't seem so bad. It really doesn't matter if someone hides their secret sin from others, because God sees it and He is the one to whom all individuals will give an account. There will be no excuses, no blaming someone else. Our God is the God of love and grace, but He is also the God who judges sin casts it into the outer darkness.

Heavenly Father, search our hearts. Bring on us the spirit of conviction if there is any hidden sin we are harboring in our lives. Give us this opportunity to repent and live clean before You rather than be condemned under Your hand of judgement. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
