Luke
16:10
"Whoever can
be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is
dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with
much."NIV
"He that is
faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust
in the least is unjust also in much."KJV
The true test of
integrity is doing the right and honest thing even when no one else is looking.
But we can reveal our own true character and spot the true character of others
in how they carry out minor little tasks and activities. When we hear that
little voice that says, "Oh, it's just a little thing, no one will know, no one
will miss it." That is the signal that tests our integrity. How we respond will
reveal our true integrity.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for the times we have taken advantage of a small situation for our
own gain because we believed it wasn't hurting anyone. You know our hearts and
our intents. Give us the courage and strength to have the integrity that our
Lord Jesus has. In His name we pray, Amen.
