POINTLESS QUIBBLING

 2 Timothy 2:23

"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels." ESV

It is pretty easy to lose sight of the main message of God's Word. We tend to get caught up in little side roads that become more important than they should. We begin to argue and debate about these things and most of the time we really have insufficient knowledge to debate them anyway. It's much better to stay focused on the main message, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, please help us to keep focused on what really matters, the Gospel message of Jesus Christ our Lord. In His name we pray, Amen.

TALKING TO A FOOL

A fool is a person who lacks good judgment and has no common
sense. Arguing with a fool only brings us down to his level of
ignorance. We are wise to say nothing and just walk away. A
fool will not listen, therefore, let's save our energy for good use.
The fool will remain a fool.

Heavenly Father, we pray for wisdom to know when to speak and when to walk away. In Jesus' name.

Read Proverbs 26:4

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself." (NIV)

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." (KJV)

ANGER CONTROL

A person given to anger means he is controlled by anger. Out of his
mouth flows all the bitterness and resentment that fills him inside. He
has no control. The wise person also experiences anger, but by God's
grace, has self control to deal with the anger in a Godly way.

Read Proverbs 29:11

"A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under
control." (NIV)

"A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards." (KJV)
