Proverbs 10:12
"Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses." ESV
Hatred sets loose all kinds of negative, destructive emotions,
intentions, and behaviors. Hatred makes room
for resentment, jealousy, anger, divisions, and revenge. Love sets free
forgiveness, understanding, compassion, and
those Godly things that restore and unify. It
makes room for all those things our God has freely given us to live in love and
harmony with our fellow men.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us if we have any hatred or anything that it allows in our hearts.
Cleanse our hearts, Lord, so that we will have only room to let You love fill
our hearts and we will produce good works that glorify You. In Jesus' name we
pray, Amen.
