2 Timothy
4:3
"For the time is coming
when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will
accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions." ESV
The Way to eternal life is a
straight and narrow path. There is nothing glamorous or attention grabbing about
it. It is a challenging path that takes full commitment and total
self-sacrifice. Very few people humble themselves and commit to staying on this
path. Even those who "call themselves" Christians do not really want to travel
this difficult path. They look for an easier way, more appealing way, a less
difficult way to feel they are walking in the Truth. The problem is there is no
alternate route. There is only One Way. So let's take up our cross and follow
Him.
Heavenly Father, we are in
great need of discernment to know when the teachers and respected leaders of the
church have changed the true message of the Gospel to one that is more
compatible with our lives, one that is less of a sacrifice. Help us to keep from
watering down the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others. Help us to teach and live
the only Way to eternal life. We pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour,
Amen.

It seems many of our churches are turning so "seeker sensitive"...that tend to satisfy more of the flesh than the truth of the Word...I agree...Lord, help us to be faithful to the Word and discerning to the truth...Thanks for being faithful to blog truth...Blessings!
