Haven't we all
been told something, given information, and thought we understood what was said?
The Scribes and Pharisees thought they understood the message Jesus told them
about destroying the temple and raising it in 3 days. They weren't listening. He
said, "This temple." He was not pointing to the actual temple of worship. He
didn't say He would "rebuild it" in three days. He said He would "raise it up"
in three days. He was telling them what was going to happen but their eyes were
blinded and their ears were dull. Well, it did happen. And what Jesus said is
exactly what happened. If we watch and listen to the words of Christ more
closely, we will know Him so much better and be closer to the kingdom of
God.
Heavenly Father,
we recognize that You knew the plan of the Cross before the foundation of the
world. Help us to stay in the Word with Holy Spirit anointing so that we will
know the truth and live it everyday. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
