Hebrews
13:15
"Through
Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the
fruit of lips that openly profess his name." NIV
By him,
therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the
fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." KJV
Just like we
breathe and blink our eyes, as Christians, we will mature spiritually to the
place where we are continually praising our Lord. It is a sacrifice, because we
live in a world of many distractions and necessary tasks. We are never
distracted from breathing or blinking our eyes, and when we are grown up
spiritually, we will always be aware of our Lord and His holiness, giving praise
as natural as breathing.
Heavenly Father,
we pray that by the Holy Spirit, we will hunger for the Word and communion with
You so that we will mature as Christians and become continual worshippers,
praising You always. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
