DEVOTED

Colossians 4:2

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." NIV

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving." KJV

If we stay in direct contact with God, watching with open eyes for the evil traps set just for us, we will be ready for anything that would distract us from our goal of becoming like Christ. And on our journey we can show gratitude and acknowledge the grace and mercy God shows us every day.

Heavenly Father, even though it is difficult to live victoriously in this world, you have given us all we need. Help us to draw on this great resource of prayer, vigilance, and gratitude, so that we will be strong when the storms come. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I think the only real way to achieve the proper amount of prayer time I need is to have a set, rigid schedule of daily prayer. Otherwise, I put off my prayers and go about it in a half-way manner. Thanks, Dr Bobbi.
