REJOICE IN SUFFERING

Romans 5:3

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because
we know that suffering produces perseverance." NIV

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing
that tribulation worketh patience." KJV

It is so easy to be joyful when we are blessed with good
things. We are to rejoice in the blessings of God. But, it
is another thing to rejoice when we are suffering. If we
will allow ourselves to rejoice during times of suffering,
we will gain spiritual strength and stamina. After all, we
will all have tribulation in this world and we are to rejoice
always. We don't rejoice that we are suffering, we rejoice
in spite of our suffering.

Heavenly Father, we rejoice that you have counted us
worthy although we have done nothing to deserve such
great mercy. Help us to rejoice in our suffering and remind
us that this will bring greater spiritual power and strength.
We ask in Jesus' name. Amen

Oh what a blessing you are. I thank you for the beautiful reminder and the share of God's word today.

This has truly been a year of gathering perseverance and patience along the way. Yes, it has been hard to find joy in the suffering. Faith has gotten me through, and as I walk this path of newness I remember to stop and ask for directions as I go.

Many hugs sweet friend, Sherry
