WRITTEN LAW VS LIVING LAW

Jesus introduced His ministry by telling us the reason
He came. He did not come to destroy anything but Satan's
work. He came to complete the written Law in living form.
The written Law and the Prophets speak of the outward
man's obedience to God. Jesus Christ came to speak and
demonstrate how the Law must first live in the inner heart.
We can practice the rules successfully on the outside and
be nothing more than whitewashed tombs. But we cannot
have the Living Law of Jesus Christ dwelling in our hearts
without our behavior matching it, where it will be seen by
those around us.

Read Matthew 5:17

"Do you think that I have come to abolish the Law or the
Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill
them." (NIV)

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the
prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." (KJV)

So grateful to the One who fulfilled the Law yet was filled with compassion and mercy.

Prior to coming here, in doing my devotion, I am being reminded by His Word that we are new creations in Him. Thanks for this wonderful post. God bless.
