POOR IN SPIRIT

Being poor in spirit is an attitude toward myself that keeps
me aware of my total need of God's grace and mercy. Without
this attitude, I have no access to the riches of Christ. With it,
I have the fullness of the kingdom of heaven right now.

Heavenly Father, forgive us when we become prideful and
forget that without humility, we take control of our lives
away from you. In Jesus' name.

Read Matthew 5:3

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven." (NIV)

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven." (KJV)

Amen. Without humility, pride will draw us away from the Lord. God's blessings. Lloyd
