Isaiah 40:30,31
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but
those whohope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like
eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
NIV
"Even the youths shall
faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait
upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as
eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
KJV
The strongest and most able bodied young men become worn
out with earthly toils and trials. How can anyone make it through the difficulties
of this cursed world? With God, we can! If we put our trust in Him, we will
never get tired or weary, no matter what our age or physical health.
To expect God to
move in our lives is like a farmer who plows, plants, and waits for
the crop. God always comes through.
Knowing this puts a strength in us this world can never match or duplicate.
Heavenly Father, oh how we need You to give us strength to get through
the harsh realities of this world. Forgive us for wearying ourselves and not
putting our trust in You. Help us apply our faith and trust so that we will be
renewed in strength each day as we encounter the things of this life. We pray in
Jesus' name, Amen.
