Romans
4:21
"...being
fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."
NIV
"And being
fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."
KJV
Sometimes our
trust in God is a reflection of the trust we have in the people of this world.
They promise one thing and do another. Commitment is a value of bygone days. If
we allow the Lord to lead us deeper and higher into His Word, the Truth, He will
increase our faith in Him, so that we will be totally certain that what He says,
He will do. God is faithful. We cannot put our lack of trust in people onto Him.
There is nothing in this world that can be fully trusted. Only our Lord. If we
trust fully in Him, we will never be disappointed.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for not fully trusting in You because our eyes have been on the
untrustworthy things of this world. Help us to keep our eyes on You and on Your
Word, so that our faith will mature to the point that we are 100% confident that
You are eternally faithful and trustworthy. In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen.
