Philippians 4:5
"Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near." NIV
"Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." KJV
How willing are we to be moderate, meek, mild in disposition, gentle, and tender in the middle of a society that is full of chaos, evil, hatred, and cruelty? If we are walking in the Spirit, we will be more than willing and able to produce the fruit of gentleness because we know the coming of our Lord is near.
Heavenly Father, how we need Your grace and mercy to be gentle in an all but gentle world. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we might exhibit the fruit that shows we are Your children. Help us to use our faith to show gentleness so that we will bring glory to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

This is a leson I had to learn recently, especiall with regards to blogging. There are people who land up at my blog who are genuinely looking for a comforting word of encouragement and sometimes that is sadly lacking.
When I think about all the page views I've had over the past couple of years, I can only wonder whether I've shown gentleness and compasion.
Good post and well understood from my point of view.
Blessings, Geoff.
