CHOKING OUT OUR TIME WITH GOD

 
Matthew 13:22
 
"As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful." ESV 
 
Are there things in our lives squeezing our time for personal communion with our Lord? Our days seem to be filled with things going on that take up our time and before we realize it, the day is done. How many times did we read from the Word this week? Have we spend thoughtful time praying? Are the cares of this life choking out our personal relationship with the Lord? We want to be ready for Him when He comes for us. Let's prioritize our time by putting our time with Him first.
 
Lord, we can't use the excuse that we live in such a busy world that we have no time for You. Forgive us for getting so caught up in the cares of this world. Help us to make it our primary goal each day to spend time with You. Our lives depend on it and You are so worthy. In Your great name we pray, Amen.
