ONE

2 Samuel 7:22

Therefore, you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears." ESV

How do we live in a world where too many people believe there is more than one way to eternal life. We hear from those that all the roads lead to the same God. This is one of Satan's greatest deceptions. There is only one Way, Jesus Christ. All other religions worship god(s) and have a major prophet. The difference is, none of their major prophets died and came alive again, showing themselves to many people, and then ascending to the Father. The other religions have to go to the tomb of their prophet and worship decayed bones. Our God is the true and living God who gave us His Son to die that we could live forever.

Heavenly Father, how we praise You for being the one true God, Creator of all things, and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Fill us with the power of Your Holy Spirit that we will be able to testify that You are the One and Only God. We pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Your words truly spoke to me today and helped me with a decision I've been trying to make since July. A year ago I joined a religion that has a prophet. Upon my year anniversary I went to classes that would prepare me for my 'endowment'
I couldn't do it...the trappings and symbolism have nothing to do with God and/or Jesus Christ. Now I'm troubled by friendships I've made and probably will lose if I sever ties with the church. I can't be an on-again-off-again believer. Seeing in black and white what I've been feeling all along is helping me make my decision. Thank you.
