TRUE LOVE

How can we show God that we truly love Him? Jesus tells us He
will know we love Him if we obey His commandments. What are His
commandments? They are to love God with all of our being and to
love each other. The love He is commanding is not merely words or
sentiments, but acts of giving and sacrifice.

Heavenly Father, fill our hearts to overflowing with love for You and
for each other so that we will bring glory to You; In Jesus' name.

Read John 14:15

"If you love me, you will obey what I command." (NIV)

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." (KJV)

Obey is a tough word. It is interesting when I hear the word in the bible (or read it rather) it is in such a different context than in life.

Obey is usually associated with adults and children only that I can think of. Can you imagine how it would work for a man that went on national television and talked about how his wife "obeys" him today?

I know the comparision and that we are to be like little children etc I understand that but seeing myself as a little child is different. What I do like about your blog is that you do not shy away from some harder core verses - I like that about what you are sharing .....

Kindest regards,
Tom Bailey
