God promises that He will accept us, be our Father, and treat us as His
children. The apostle Paul tells us we should respond to God's promises
by making a committed effort to get rid of the selfish desires, behaviors,
and attitudes that stand in the way of total obedience to Him. It is a life
long process out of respectful awe to God, who will help us complete it.
Read 2 Corinthians 7:1
"Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from
everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of
reverence for God."
