1 John
4:20
"Whoever
claims to love God yet hates a brother or a sister is a liar. For whoever does
not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom
they have not seen." NIV
"If a man
say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not
his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not
seen?"KJV
To love God is to
love the humans He has created. If we have resentment and hatred against some
one in this world, our love for God is impossible. We may try to justify our bad
feelings by saying this person we hate has wronged us and has not repented or
shown any remorse. We might maintain that we have the right to resent this
person because of what they have done. The fact is, if we love God, we will love
our enemies, we will love those who have hard hearts, we will love the unlovely.

This is so true. The greatest thing in the world - or out of it - is love. To love God and to love our fellow man are the two greatest commandments. We always need to remember that.
