LOVE AND HATE CAN'T GO TOGETHER

 
1 John 4:20


"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or a sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." NIV


"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"KJV


To love God is to love the humans He has created. If we have resentment and hatred against some one in this world, our love for God is impossible. We may try to justify our bad feelings by saying this person we hate has wronged us and has not repented or shown any remorse. We might maintain that we have the right to resent this person because of what they have done. The fact is, if we love God, we will love our enemies, we will love those who have hard hearts, we will love the unlovely. Because God loved us when we were ''

  1. This is so true. The greatest thing in the world - or out of it - is love. To love God and to love our fellow man are the two greatest commandments. We always need to remember that.
