The maker of the
universe, the designer of everything that exists was right here on this earth,
as a man, showing us the Father and the way to eternal life. How did we not
recognize him? What were we thinking He would be like that we missed Him
altogether? If we immerse ourselves in the Word of God so that we get to know
Him more and more, we will not make that same tragic error when He comes
again.
Heavenly Father,
how humbled we are that the very Son of God walked among us and we did not even
know it. Forgive our ignorance, complacency, and fixation on the things of this
world. Give us more hunger for the Word so that we will know Him more and more
and recognize His voice. We pray this in His blessed name, Amen.
