Ephesians 6:13
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." NIV
"Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." KJV
If we only put on part of God's armor, we will not be able to totally defeat Satan. If we put on the whole armor of God, we will be able to stay fixed in our position and destroy any scheme, idea, plan, or trap Satan fires at us. With all of God's armor on there are no cracks or small entry ways for Satan to slip through and get to us. We will utterly destroy all of his attacks and we will be left standing in victory, God's victory.
Heavenly Father, help us to be able to get the whole armor of God around us. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit through the Word so that we will know how to put Your armor on. Increase our desire to be ready to fight in this war and understand that it is a matter of necessity not an option. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
