Ephesians 6:11
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." NIV
"Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." KJV
Being a Christian is not a spectator sport, nor is it a team competition where some members can sit back and let others do all the hard work. Each one of us is responsible to put on the armor. God does not do that for us. We do not fight this spiritual war with our own strategies and protection, we put on God's armor. It is the only way we will defeat the devil. His evil attacks are so dressed up like fun and games, it takes earnest prayer and discernment to even identify his schemes. With God's armor we will be able to identify and stand victorious over Satan. Let's put God's armor on now, the battles are fierce.
Heavenly Father, we confess that we try to be strong Christians in our own power. Forgive us and lead us so that we can put on Your armor. We cannot do it on our own. We thank You and praise You that You have provided this armor for us. Open our eyes to understand this war and be ready dressed in Your armor to defeat all the plots and tricks of the evil one. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Zech 4:6 is one of my fav scriptures....not by might nor by power ....BUT by the Spirit ...I cannot even put on the Whole Armour of God w/out the help of the Holy Spirit....enjoyed your subject this morning ....Truth ringing out loud!
