Ephesians 4:22
" You were taught, with regard to your former way of life,
to put off your old self which is being corrupted by its
deceitful desires." NIV
"That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old
man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts." KJV
Putting off our former selves is not a one time thing that
never has to be dealt with again. We are taught in the Word
to continually cast aside our sinful natures that keep
getting us side tracked and lured away to things that will
taint and destroy our walk with the Lord. This means we
much be aware of our own sinful natures and be willing to
put them behind us.
Heavenly Father, help us to recognize in the middle of our
hectic daily lives, that we cater to our own sinful natures.
Give us the desire to exercise our spiritual strength so that
we can cast aside that old nature and follow You. We pray
in Jesus' name, Amen.

I needed this word of exaltation today. I seem to have been letting a lot of sin nature enter my thought process and creating heaviness...thanks for the word today and the picture which reminds me of the constant battle.
