FIX OUR EYES

2 Corinthians 4:18

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen
is eternal." NIV

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen
are temporal; but the things which are not seen are
eternal." KJV

As humans, it is natural to look at what our eyes can see.
We look at the situations we are going through as well. In
so doing, we eventually become fixed on these earthly,
temporary things. We end up focusing on difficulties or
things that are not good for us. If we focus our minds eyes
instead on glorious things that are waiting for us and the
eternal pleasure we will experience, all of difficulties will
seem less unbearable and the things that tempt us will not
seem so inviting.

Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have given us
spiritual eyes to see the great and glorious eternity you
have prepared for us. Help us to keep from getting fixated
on the things of this world. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen

  4. So many people live for earthly and
temporary things. I use to be one of those people. With lots of prayers I can honestly say I am no longer one of them,my life has been blessed because of it.
