ONE ACT OF SIN, ONE ACT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Roman 5:18

"Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was
condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act
of righteousness was justification that brings life for
all men." NIV

"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon
all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness
of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification
of life." KJV

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, the penalty was
the curse of being condemned to eternal death for all
humans throughout time. We enter this sinful state by
being physically born into it as babies. When Christ lived
a sinless life and became the sacrifice on the cross, the
result was justification and eternal life for all who will
accept His sacrifice. We are born into eternal life by our
own choice to accept His sacrifice.

Heavenly Father, we just praise and worship you for
providing a way to destroy the condemnation for sin
through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Help us to have hearts of praise and thanksgiving for
your great love. In Jesus' name. Amen

  1. Amen. In todays world, some tend to think we are predestine for this eternal life. I understand and know that, God knows who and who will not accept this free gift, and know that many will not. Jesus said in his word that,( I have come that ( ALL )may come to the point of repentance). Thank you for this post. You are so right when you said, ( We are born into eternal life (by our own choice) to accept His sacrifice).
    God bless

  2. Sometimes folks have a hard time understanding that we are all born with a "sin nature". But of course, as you so clearly stated...We all have a choice to accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. God bless, Lloyd

  3. Thank you for sharing this truth, especially at the end of the year when so many reflect on their lives and their future. I pray that many who don't know Christ will be drawn to your site by the Holy Spirit, and will make the choice to say yes to the Lord.
