COMPASSIONATE GOD

Psalm 86:15

"But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious
God, slow to anger, abounding in love and
faithfulness." (NIV)

"But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and
gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy
and truth." (KJV)

If everyone in the world responded to the difficult
people and circumstances like you and I do, what
kind of world would we have? If we all responded
with the compassion, grace, patience, mercy, and
truth that our God does, how would this world be?
We should be on our knees praising and thanking
our God that He is compassionate and slow to
get angry. If He acted like we do sometimes, we
would be in complete desparation.

Heavenly Father, we praise you for your great and
precious compassion, patience, mercy, and grace
to us, for we know we don't deserve it. Help us,
Lord, to be more like you in our dealing with the
people and situations we encounter in this world.
We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
