SAME LOVE FOR ALL




Jesus tells us in the Word that we are to imitate the love of
God by showing the same love to our enemies. He showed
His love to us when we were His enemies. He brings to all,
the good and the bad, sunshine and rain to bring bountiful
harvest in the earth. We are called to be like Him.

Heavenly Father, only by your grace can we love those who
are unlovable. We desire to be like you and accept your grace
to love both good and ungodly people. In Jesus' name.

Read Matthew 5:45

"...that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes
His sun to rise on the evil and the good; and sends rain on the

REFINING THE CHRISTIAN




We have learned how silver and gold is purified by the refiner's
fire; how it separates the purity from the impurity. So it is when
we are given praise by others. Our response will show what is in
our hearts. Are we prideful, feeling superior, and self-satisfied?
O are we even more humbled and willing to be given and poured
out for the honor of God?

Heavenly Father, may we never be puffed up by praise, but let
it give us motivation to ever be busying ourselves with seeking
to glorify your name. In Jesus' name.

SLAVE OR MASTER?




There are corrupt, sinful people who make every effort to persuade
the spiritually weak or those new to the Faith to follow them and to
persuade them the believe they will be free. These vile people can't
provide freedom to anyone, since they are prisoners of their own sin.
We are all slaves to whatever or whoever masters us.

Read 2 Peter 2:19

"They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of
depravity--for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him." (NIV)

"While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants
of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he

WE ARE STRANGERS HERE




God judges impartially, so we are judged with the same set of criteria
that all men are judged. As Christians, we live our lives totally different
than people of this world, because we are strangers and aliens here.
Therefore we live our lives as Godly people, not taken in by the cares
and ways of this world.

Heavenly Father, help us to live by faith in you and not by the influence
of this world. We ask for strength to live our lives reverently, knowing
we are strangers and aliens in this world and that you are our Judge.
In Jesus' name.

BE CAREFUL




We are to be careful about who we choose as our Christian leaders.
They must have proven themselves in Godliness and faithfulness. We
are to be careful not to overlook and condone those of our fellow believers who are engaging in sin. That makes us as guilty as they are. We are to walk in the Holy Spirit so that we remain unstained by the world.

Heavenly Father, give us wisdom to choose those who teach and lead us, strength to call those fellow Christians who are doing wrong to acount, and to keep ourselves pure. In Jesus' name.

SET FREE




God's Word is clear that, as Christians, we are set free from the mastery of sin to become slaves of the Master. There is no middle ground, where we can be our own masters. We are slaves of sin or we are slaves of Christ. The lives we live will reveal who our master is.

Heavenly Father, we thank you that your yoke is easy and your burden
light. We thank you always that you bought us as slaves with your blood and we are free from sin. In Jesus' name.

ABLE THROUGH GRACE




What is God's grace? It is the act of giving by God that was never earned, deserved, or requested. This grace from God is a gift, a blessing, and a fulfilling of needs that God gives because His love is so infinite and over flowing. He is always lavishing His grace on His children so that they can produce good spiritual fruit and be effective in His Church.

Heavenly Father, help us to never take your gift of grace for granted. Give us wisdom to walk in your grace so that we will always be giving honor to you. In Jesus Name.

BEING AN EXAMPLE

Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, and revealed the Father to us. Christ also suffered greatly during His time here and more so as He approached His death. He is our example. As Christians, we are called to follow Christ's example including His suffering even if it means death. This is a hard thing and can only be accomplished by our faith and the grace and mercy of our God.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for Jesus Christ who showed us the pattern of living to which you have called us. We ask for your grace and mercy to walk as He did for we know that without you we can do nothing. In Jesus' name.

INDIFFERENCE

Many were called and invited to the wedding feast, a gracious invitation
to a very important occasion. It wasn't that they could not come. They
didn't feel it was that important. They even laughed at the invitation as
though the feast was made out to be a bigger event than it really was.
Because of their indifference and self-centered lives, they missed the
most important event of their lives. People do this with the Gospel when they are invited to accept Jesus Christ. And because they are indifferent or disinterested, they lose out on eternal life.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to open our hearts and minds to the importance of the things of God. Anoint us as we present the Gospel and prepare the hearts of those who receive so that they will not be indifferent. In Jesus' name.

BEARING OUR CROSSES




We have all heard about picking up our crosses and following Him.
What does it mean to bear our own crosses? It means that we will
not focus on the life that has been dealt to us by this world, but we
will focus on being more like Christ. No matter what our circumstances
are, we can be like Christlike, a living testimony to the unbelieving
world. In fact, the greater the cross one bears, the more desperate the
life, the greater the opportunity to show Christ to others.

Heavenly Father, help us focus on being more like You, no matter what
our circumstances are. Help us carry our cross and follow You. In Jesus' name.

GROWING SPIRITUALLY




Our spiritual growth and maturity is seen in the path we walk. As each
step is taken, there is an increase in the light by which we see the path
ahead. Those who are earnestly seeking God will see the light and follow. It is much like the dawn at sunrise, which barely lights the day, but with each minute that passes, there is more and more light. Soon the noonday sun shines its' light everywhere.

Heavenly Father, help us stay on the path you have set before us. Help us to grow and mature so that Your light will shine through us and bring others to the saving knowledge of Your grace. In Jesus' name.

SHALLOWNESS




Saving faith in Christ is so much more than giving mental agreement to a belief. Giving mental agreement is much the same as "good intentions" or planting seeds on rocky soil. When that kind of faith is tested it fades and withers away. If the seed of salvation was planted in us on rocky soil, it will wash away in a very short time. That does not mean we were saved for a little while, then lost it. It means we were never really saved at all. We must be ready with good soil and open hearts, to receive from God.

Heavenly Father, we pray for spiritual soil that is ready to accept the seed You sow; that we might be fruitful children of God. We pray for those we encounter, that the rocks be removed so they can accept the seeds of true salvation. In Jesus' name.

GOD SUPPLIES FOR OUR GROWTH




God is the supplier of seeds to plant and He brings forth a crop.
From the crop, our needs are abundantly supplied and have
enough to share and provide to others who need it. In the same
way, God supplies us with blessings. We accept His blessings
and use what we need to grow more in Him. We give out of this
abundance of His blessings to others so they can do the same.
The more we give, the more He supplies to us.

Heavenly Father, help us to receive your blessings with a pure
heart and to give freely to others. We desire to be a part of
multiplying your love and grace. In Jesus' name.

WRONGED IN HONOR OF GOD




To allow ourselves to be wronged by our fellow Christians without
pressing the issue is far better than to take the matter to a public
court in front of unbelievers. What they will see is an example of
Christians who are not practicing what they preach. This is dishonoring to God and His working of love through us. Love does not keep an account of wrongs.

Heavenly Father, give us spiritual maturity to honor you by not
insisting that wrongs committed against us by fellow Christians
be satisfied. Fill us with your love, In Jesus' name.

KNOWING HIS MIGHTY POWER




We cannot understand the things of God without His Holy Spirit revealing them to us. With Holy Spirit revelation we will know the anticipation of eternal life and the rewards that wait us in eternity. Can we even begin to understand that by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we can know God's mighty power? The same power that brought Jesus Christ up from death. Who would think that God would long to share these things with His children? And that He would give us the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead us to these truths and experience of His power.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your gift of the Holy Spirit and that you desire to share your great rewards and power with us. Give us the hunger to know you more and give room for your Holy Spirit to work in us in this marvelous way. In Jesus' name.

HE WILL DELIVER US




One of the major reasons many of us are weak in faith is that we do not allow our encouragement to come from God. Rather, we should do as David did. He acknowledged that God delivered him and his sheep from wild and dangerous animals. How much more will God deliver His people from evil enemies of God and men?

Heavenly Father, we pray that we would draw encouragement from you as we recall the times you have rescued and protected us in the past. In Jesus' name.

GOD SEES THE HEART




As humans, we are prone to judging the worth of a person by his appearance. We judge by the exterior. God judges a person by looking at his heart. We are unable to make a determination in the way God does because we cannot see the heart of another. It is reasonable to conclude that we must not judge others because we are not able to gather the information necessary to make a correct judgment.

Heavenly Father, we ask that you will help us to refrain from judging others and to leave that job to you, the One who knows the hearts of all mankind. In Jesus' name.

DEATH TO EARTHLY NATURE


When we were saved, the Lord made us new creatures. Because we are
confined to this earth and to its natural laws, we still have thoughts and
desires that are contrary to God's way. We are told to kill these thoughts and desires, get rid of them, totally. It is our responsibility to do that. No excuses or exceptions. Examples of these sins are sexual thoughts and acts outside the bond of marriage; that which stains our Christian testimony; desiring that which is forbidden; giving in to that which we know is wrong; and being dissatisfied with what we have, always wanting more.

Heavenly Father, grant us strength to put to death all those sins that place us in danger of your displeasure. Help us to take responsibility for our thoughts, feelings, and actions. In Jesus' name.

WE PREVAIL BY GOD'S STRENGTH




As children of God, we can have confidence that the Lord will guide
us on His path and keep us from falling. He will take care of us.
Unbelievers, those who are not His, He will cause to be helpless,
confused, and of no effect. Evil cannot overpower our omnipotent
(all powerful) God.

Heavenly Father, we thank you that you will always protect us and
guide our steps. We humbly worship you and acknowledge that you
are all powerful and that no thing can defeat you. In Jesus' name.

BEING KEPT FOR HIS RETURN




We are in a position in which we must pray for God to do for us that
which we cannot do for ourselves. By way of His unfathomable peace,
He will set us apart, making us holy. He will give us a clean conscience,
a bodily temple worthy of the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, and a spirit
that hungers for and seeks to obey Him. Then, when He comes back for
His Church, we will be ready, without spot or wrinkle.

Heavenly Father, give us your peace and set us apart, making us holy
through and through so that we will be found ready when you come for
your Church. In Jesus' name.

DO WE LOVE HIM?




How much do we really love Jesus Christ, who died for us? Do we love
Him to the point that we will obey Him? If so, He tells us to feed His
sheep. It takes food, time, patience, and commitment to feed His sheep.
In order to have these things, we must be in constant communion with
the Lord so that we will have the spiritual food and nurturing attitude
to teach and strengthen those He places within our reach. Do we
really love Him?

Heavenly Father, we pray for the love only You can give us, that will
enable us to give out to those who need You and the spiritual food
that will help them know you more. In Jesus' name.

REMEMBER WHAT GOD HAS DONE


We can become so comfortable in our earthly possessions and our lives
that we forget about the fact that it all belongs to God and it is by His
grace and mercy that He has allowed us to experience it. We must watch
our attitude about our prosperity and worldly possessions that they don't blind us to who we really are in God's eyes.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the many blessings you have given to us. We pray that you help us to never allow these blessings to become more important to us than our relationship to You. In Jesus' name.

GOD'S PEACE




Peace is not merely the absence of conflict or unrest. Peace for
God's people comes when we are all in one accord, each of us
aligning ourselves with Him. Peace comes to us in knowing that
God is with us always and evermore.

with us. Help us to stay attuned to you so that we will be at peace
with you and with our brothers and sisters in Christ. In Jesus' name.

HIS GREAT NAME




There is no individual, city, state, region, country, or earthly kingdom
that can claim the greatness of a name that surpasses that of the Lord
God Almighty. His name is due all honor and praise from every corner of
the universe and all creation, Everywhere, His name will be celebrated
and revered. He is the great I AM.

Heavenly Father, help us to gain more understanding and to always
show holy reverence to the greatness of your name. In Jesus' name.

LOVE IN THE WRONG PLACE




Money is not evil. It is the love of money that causes all sorts of evil
to happen. Loving riches can even pull Christians away from the faith
because of its' deceitful reputation of bringing happiness and power.
For those who have fallen into this trap, great anguish of soul has
resulted. The realization has come to them that they have traded
true joy and eternal life for that which does not last or satisfy.

Heavenly Father, we humbly ask that you will guard our hearts and
minds against loving the things money can provide for us more than
we love the things of God. In Jesus' name.

BY HIS SPIRIT




The Lord's Church will be preserved and prepared for eternity with
Christ. This will not and cannot be done by any strength of any person
or group of people. Nor can it ever be done by great leaders or those
in authority and places of dignity and respect. There are some who
believe that it can be accomplished in these ways. The victory of the
Church will be accomplished only by the Spirit of the living God.

Heavenly Father, we ask for the fullness of your Spirit in our lives that
we may be a part of your great plan for your Church. We acknowledge
there is no other way for the Church to survive but by your Spirit. In
Jesus' name.

GOD KNOWS HIS OWN

God is the builder of the Church. Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone, secured forever by the seal of God's hand. A seal signifies ownership and removes all doubt about the truth of God's word. Many many people proclaim they are Christians, but they are not. God knows those who are genuinely His. They have turned from their selfish and ungodly ways. God's Church is pure and holy, built on Jesus Christ, the cornerstone and the foundation of the Word of God.

Heavenly Father, we thank you that we can have unwavering faith in your Word. Help us to live holy before you and before men, so that your Church brings you glory and honor. In Jesus' name.

WATCH OUR WAYS




The Lord gives us so many warning and opportunities to watch what
we do, to examine ourselves. If we do not have a solid and humble
commitment to the Lord, the things we do for Him will be for naught,
like water leaking out of a bucket full of holes. This happens because
we look at the things we do and pat ourselves on the back. Yes, we've
all done that and that pat on the back is our reward. If we are focusing
on the Lord, the things we do for Him will be like second nature. We
will be too busy praising Him and rejoicing in His love for us.

Heavenly Father, help us each day to commit all we think, say, and do to
you. Keep our hearts pure and humble in your sight. In Jesus' name.

REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM




Rather than judging others, we need to remember where we came from,
what we were when the Lord found us. We were ignorant of the Truth,
doing our own thing, thinking we knew what we were doing, satisfying
our selfish wants, and scowling at those who questioned us.

Heavenly Father, bring to our minds our own depraved state we were in
when you found us, before we accepted you as our Saviour. Give us love and the urgency to pray for those who are still imprisoned there, that we won't judge them. In Jesus' name.

Read Titus 3:3

"At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by
all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being
hated and hating one another." (NIV)

"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived,

GOD'S GREAT LOVE




Jesus Christ did not become a man, walk and live among us, become
hated and murdered so that He could win a prize. He offered Himself
to reconcile fallen man back to God. The Lord's love for us is so great
that he involves Himself with us and will never leave us. Christ takes
such joy and delight in us, His Church, that He quietly basks in this love,
singing with joy over those who love Him too. This is His reward.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that as Christians we are Christ's
joy and reward. Give us hearts to seek Him and continue to be a joy to Him. In Jesus' name.

Read Zephaniah 3:17

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great
delight in you, he will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing. (NIV)
