Peter 4:19
"Therefore, let those who suffer according to God's will entrust
their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good." ESV
There are
times when we suffer because we have willfully sinned and suffer the
consequences for it. That suffering we must accept and gain wisdom from it.
However, if we suffer after having obeyed God's Word to us, we can be sure that
keeping our trust in Him will result in His keeping us close to Him in sweet
communion and peace.
Heavenly
Father, forgive us for the sins for which we refuse to turn away. We accept
those sufferings that we brought on ourselves for our disobedience. The
suffering we experience because we are obedient to You, Lord we gladly bear
knowing that this kind of suffering will bring us to indescribable glory with
You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
