Romans 8:22
"For
we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of
childbirth until now." ESV
We can
understand by looking into the Word of God, reading historical records, and
looking at the world around us now and see that it is a grieving, sorrowful
world. The whole earth and all creation were put under a curse when Adam and Eve
sinned in the garden of Eden. No one born on this earth is immune to this curse.
We all wait for that day when Christ returns and the curse is lifted. Then,
there will be no more sorrow, suffering, crying, or pain.
Heavenly
Father, increase our understanding of why the world is the way it is. Give us
hunger for Your Word so we can receive knowledge of what sin has done to all of
Your creation. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we can have hope of eternal
life and share that hope with a lost and dying world. We pray in Jesus' name,
Amen.
